JAMESTOWN, RI — The Jamestown Newport Ferry sets sail for the 2025 season beginning on Saturday, May 17, aligning perfectly with the popular Oyster and Chowder Festival at Bowen’s Wharf (May 17 & 18).

The ferry’s most popular, Hop-On Hop-Off service will operate daily through October 13, 2025, providing seamless and scenic travel between Jamestown and Newport. With convenient stops at Jamestown, Rose Island Lighthouse, Fort Adams State Park, Ann Street Pier and Perrotti Park, passengers can explore the beauty and history of Narragansett Bay at their own pace.

Passengers can choose from the All-Day Pass, One-Way Pass, Season Pass, and an affordable Evening Special, available after 4 p.m. daily (excluding festivals), making it easy to enjoy an evening on the Bay, or a spontaneous night out in Jamestown or Newport.

This season the ferry will also provide express service to major Newport events, including the world-renowned Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals, the Newport International Boat Show, and the Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festivals. Please note that modified schedules will be in effect during these events. Passengers are encouraged to check our schedules online for the most up-to-date information.

With panoramic views, convenient service, and public access to Rhode Island’s most vibrant Coastal destinations, the Jamestown Newport Ferry offers a unique way to experience the best of Summer on the bay.
